Dreams

I had a bad dream a couple of nights ago. I tossed and turned. I dreamt that I was in a hotel room in Birmingham working and some people busted into my room. First of all, how sad is it that with all the hours I spend working AWAKE that I am now dreaming about working? Anyway, they demanded money and when I told them I didn’t have any, they pointed their gun to shoot. That’s when I started scream for help and woke up. Crazy huh? I have never felt so helpless.
As I stared at the ceiling I thanked God for the ability to wake up. It’s amazing how such a small thing can be such a big thing. Anyone dreaming about a gun in their face would wake up. What about those of us who are going through our existence “asleep”? We just do whatever, whenever, however thinking everything is everything. We sleep through our goals, we sleep through bad health, we sleep through our spiritual journey, we sleep through our relationships, we sleep, we sleep, we sleep. It is only when “nightmares” come that we figure we need another direction. Why must we always wait for nightmares?
Let’s wake up. Peace.
