Getting Smashed.

Yesterday I was in the office (that would be a Sunday) working. I was suppose to be there 3-4 hours. This week is really important as I am joining my colleagues from around the world in a week long sales meeting. I have a 3 hour presentation on Thursday. I went to the office to start the presentation. I reached up in my office cabinet above my desk to grab a binder. As I grabbed the binder, it slipped out of my hand and landed on my open laptop screen with the presentation. Smash. I literally sat there and stared at the screen for about 3 minutes. When I called the computer support people, they said they couldn’t get the laptop until Friday. One day AFTER the sales meeting. Nice huh?
I’ll be honest. I cussed. Alot. I said a few choice words. Then I thought about it. This was a message. I’ve been running nonstop since the move. I couldn’t remember the last time I had morning prayers. I couldn’t remember the last time I just sat and read the word of God in a real way. Sure I write these fancy blogs but I haven’t been a student of the word in a long time. I guess I was too busy being the “promotion guy”. It’s amazing how clear things become when you get smashed. Stupid me. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I know better.
You have my attention Lord. Sorry.
What is he going to smash before he gets your attention?
